Revolving around the courtroom, 'Miss Hammurabi' tells the story of three judges - a rookie judge Park Cha Oh Reum played by Go Ara who dreams of an idealistic world, while INFINITE's L will be taking on the role of Lim Ba Reun, who goes strictly by the books, and Han Sae Sang (Sung Dong II), an experienced judge who views the world through realistic eyes. Furthermore, the names in Korean are literal expressions of each individual's perception, adding depth to his/her characteristics.
Originally held on January 16, the first script reading of JTBC's new drama was a lively one as the cast including actors/actresses Ryu Deok Hwan, Lee Elijah, Kim Young Ok, Lee Won Jong, and more demonstrated their professional teamwork.
Based on the novel by actual judge Moon Yoo Suk, who's also in charge of the script, commented, "'Miss Hammurabi' is a simple story about people who want to change the world from where they are standing and hope for the better." It seems the drama adaptation will focus on the realistic side of what goes on in the courtroom.
Actress Go Ara read her lines without fault as she even shed tears because she was moved by an emotional scene in the story, causing many to anticipation the new series. INIFINITE's L, also known as Kim Myung Soo, also presented a level of elevation as he delivered his lines, taking on an elite character with handsome visuals.
The cast also laughed out loud while reading the script, lifting the atmosphere as the director Kwak Jung Hwan later mentioned, "We were concerned about how the script would be effectively portrayed, however, all the actors did an incredible job," and described how pleased he was by the outstanding results and praised the stars.
