Some fans who attended the '2017 SBS Gayo Daejeon's live show at the Gocheok Sky Dome on December 25, did not come away happy with their "concert" experience.
It turns out, a large portion of the year-end music show was pre-recorded, and the audience members who attended the live event ended up watching most of the stages on a screen. If the artists were present during the show, they reportedly only performed the first verses of their tracks.
According to fan accounts, the stage lights were not on most of the time, because the SBS staff was busy preparing for the next pre-recorded segment, turning the concert venue into a movie theater, more or less.
Netizens posted on Twitter, "How is this any different from watching the broadcast from home?", "The staff is so unprofessional, how many times do we have to see their computer screen?", "It's a pre-recorded party", and more.
It was said that nearly half of the show was composed up of pre-recorded segments.
