He continued, "You were probably very startled by the sudden news but I've thought about my future for a very long time and after discussion with my members, I've decided to leave the group and voluntarily enlist in the military. I sincerely appreciate you guys for always believing, encouraging, and loving Mad Town's Buffy since debut in 2014. I think the past times of promotions will become a great encouragement as I live my life. As a citizen of Korea, I will properly fulfill the nation's duty and come back as a more matured Kim Joo Hyun. Once again, I sincerely thank our fans and I apologize for delivering such news. I promise to come back coolly and return the great love with cool music after I get discharged from the military. I promise to return the love. I also cheer on the future of my members, who I've been walking next to since I was young, more than anyone. Thank you for loving Mad Town's Buffy up to now."
Recently, it was reported that Mad Town is taking the steps to disbandment due to complications and a lawsuit against their agency GNI Entertainment.
With Buffy officially leaving the group, netizens think Mad Town's disbandment will be officially taking place soon. Stay tuned for updates.
