One security guard at Seoul Women's University discovered the most unusual site while checking through CCTV footage from the early hours of October 25!
Around the 1:15 AM KST mark, the security guard spotted a sounder of 16 wild boars, roaming the streets adjacent to the university campus. According to the university, the sounder seemed to consist of 4 mothers and a litter of 12 shoats.
However, when the university called in a team of 10 wild boar hunters and their hunting dogs to seek the sounder out the next day, they were nowhere to be found. The hunters discovered traces of the boars having dug through dirt ground or under fencing, but not a trace of the 16 spotted on CCTV.
Due to a rise in wild boar threats in Korea in recent years, it is officially legal for anyone to hire professionals with a license to capture any wild boars posing a threat to civilians. Check out some of the CCTV footage below.
