1.
'Produce 101's Jung Se Woon
Jung Se Woon is one of the two boys in 'Produce 101' that attend Howon University as a music major. He attends the school as a vocalist (some fans thought he might be attending as a guitarist, but he is actually attending as a vocalist) and has been attending since 2016. The year he was accepted, the ratio was 262 rejections for every 1 acceptance.
2.
Wanna One/'Produce 101's Kim Jae Hwan
Kim Jae Hwan is the other 'Produce 101' boy attending Howon University, and even though he's a year older than Jung Se Woon, they actually are in the same class at the university. He's also a vocalist, which explains how the two were so close even before the airing of 'Produce 101'. Just like Jung Se Woon, he beat the odds of 262:1 to be accepted in his acceptance year.
3.
Jang Jae In
It's no surprise that Jang Jae In, who finished in the TOP 3 in 'Superstar K3', is on this list. She's called the genius of the guitar and there's absolutely no one who can say anything bad about her singing ability. She was accepted into the school as a singer-songwriter.
4.
Son Seung Yeon (Sonnet Son)
Remember when Sonnet Son's 'Let It Go' went all the way to Ryan Seacrest's best cover contest? The vocalist, who won 'Voice Korea', also attends Howon University in the Applied Music school. It's not known what she's attending as, although it's highly likely that she's a vocalist.
5.
Kye Bum Joo (BUMZU)
You may not recognize Kye Bum Joo's face, but you'll definitely recognize his songs - especially if you're a Pledis fan. He's worked on almost all of Seventeen's songs with Woozi and has also given songs to NCT, Rainbow, Super Junior, Block B, NU'EST, and more.
6.
Baek Ah Yeon
Baek Ah Yeon isn't just an amazing singer with a beautiful voice - she also composes most of the hits that she releases, so it's no shock that she's also a student at Howon University's Applied Music school. She and Jung Se Woon are only ones in 'K-Pop Star's history to be from the school. It's unclear what she goes to the school for, but it could be either as a vocalist or as a singer-songwriter.
7.
Yoo Sung Eun
Even though Yoo Seung Eun ultimately lost to Son Seung Yeon (who is also on this list) on 'Voice Korea', her vocal ability made her highly popular. She has a unique voice that isn't really heard anywhere else in the K-pop industry.
8.
BTOB's Hyunsik
Even though Hyunsik can play multiple instruments, compose music (he's written countless songs for BTOB), and he's neither the main nor lead singer for BTOB, he is attending the school as a vocalist. He actually revealed that he had only prepared the first verse of his songs because professors normally cut applicants off after the first verse, but he sang so well that the professors did not stop him. However, he didn't know the second verse, so he just stopped himself - and got accepted anyway. Hyunsik beat the odds of 600:1 and was one of the two boys accepted into Howon University's Applied Music school in his acceptance year. And the other boy was...
9.
BTOB's Changsub
BTOB's Changsub is the other male applicant to beat the odds of 600:1 and be accepted into Howon University in his year. While Changsub is a year older than Hyunsik, the two attended university in the same year. Changsub, just like Hyunsik, is attending the school as a vocalist. He's joked that his application day for the university was the day he sang the best in his entire life, and added that Eunkwang (who was sadly rejected from the school), sang the worst in his life on his audition for Howon University. The two BTOB boys are the only idols from the Applied Music school in Howon University. However, that will soon change when Kim Jae Hwan debuts as Wanna One and they'll be two of only three.
