MBC defended themselves against anger from Sone, or Girls' Generation fans.

Back on August 12, the '2017 DMZ Peace Concert' took place in Yeuido in commemoration of Korea's National Liberation Day. Various hot K-Pop stars such as G-FriendMAMAMOOBTOBAilee, and more were announced as performers, as well as Girls' Generation. However, the girls were nowhere to be seen when the performances from the concert were broadcast through MBC on August 15.

After angry fans demanded an explanation, MBC clarified their reasoning and said, "Girls' Generation was edited out of the DMZ Peace Concert that was broadcast on the August 15 because of issues such as the rating. The details were discussed with their label SM Entertainment beforehand. Please direct your concerns to SM Entertainment."
