Film director Kim Ki Duk has been accused of assaulting female actress 'A', as reported on August 3.
Reports stated that an actress 'A' filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central Prosecutor's Office against the film director for slapping her on set and demanding that she film a 'bed scene' not initially included in the script. The actress was first cast for the lead female role in Kim Ki Duk's 2013 film 'Moebius', but due to Kim Ki Duk's mistreatment, she chose to halt her participation in the film, and a different actress was cast for the role.
Kim Ki Duk's side responded to the reports with, "It's true that the lawsuit has been filed against Kim Ki Duk. However, the director said that the reports contain false information, so we are confirming the actual course of events. Once the facts are confirmed, we will release a new statement."
