Ariana Grande was the 25th guest in Hyundai Card's 'Culture Project' series, but after her concert, Korean fans were outraged at circumstances during and after the show, pouring complaints and criticism.
Hyundai Card has issued an official apology to attendees of Ariana Grande's concert on August 17, as follows:
"We would like to formally apologize to those who felt discomfort at the 'Hyundai Card Culture Project 25 Ariana Grande' show, which took place on August 15.
Hyundai Card has put in a lot of effort for the past 10 years to organize the 'Super Concert' series and the 'Culture Project' series, in order to provide attendees with unforgettable experiences. However, at 'Culture Project 25 Ariana Grande', due to circumstances including the artist's reasons, bad weather, and other unexpected occurrences, we caused many attendees discomfort. We also received criticism that some locations within the performance area were subject to unprofessional management as a result of heightened security policies.
Hyundai Card takes your criticism into consideration heavily, and we will analyze every step of our organization to ensure that a similar situation does not occur again.
Meanwhile, the 'VIP Package' included in this performance was a product of the fanpage within Ariana Grande's official website - a product organized by the artist's side for fans. Hyundai Card decided not to participate or meddle in this product's sales and organization in order to respect the artist's rights, and feel regret that fans who purchased this product were not able to properly receive the included privileges. We are doing all we can to contact the product's sellers to ensure the correct measures will be taken for full refunds, after having issued a notice of our actions to attendees who purchased the 'VIP Package'.
Once again, we apologize to attendees who trusted in Hyundai Card, and we will greet you again with an improved concert experience."
