A media outlet had previously reported that Shin Jung Hwan had signed with a large entertainment label in Korea, and that he would be taking Super Junior Kyuhyun's place on the panel once Kyuhyun enlists. Shin Jung Hwan has signed with KOEN STARS on April 27, the label of comedian Lee Kyung Kyu.

However, MBC denied the rumors, saying, "We haven't decided on Kyuhyun's replacement, and we haven't even talked about it properly. We also haven't met with Shin Jung Hwan. We will be looking for Kyuhyun's replacement at a later time."
Shin Jung Hwan has stayed away from the entertainment industry for 7 years after his gambling controversy.
