The incident had occurred after the canine's owner opened the front door to leave when the dog burst out of the home and ran into the streets.

The car that had hit the animal sped off and was nowhere to be found when bystanders called emergency services 119 immediately.

Once the firefighters arrived at the scene, they carefully carried the dog to the emergency vehicle and drove to the hospital.

Up until then, the dog appeared to show signs of consciousness by lifting its head but unfortunately, the dog's health deteriorated and was pronounced dead upon arriving at the emergency facility.   

Animal hospital A who had tended to the golden retriever commented, "The dog had suffered from cardiac arrest."  And stated, "We don't know the exact cause of death unless an autopsy is performed but it looks like it had suffered from lung hemorrhage, with extensive bleeding."

Hearing the news rather late, the owner dashed to the hospital and checked the condition of the dog and broke down uncontrollably.

Meanwhile, the road traffic authority mentioned that in order to prevent further hit&run incidents, the person behind the wheel must be alert at all times and advised that domesticated animals should always wear a collar and leash.
