She said that she has been visiting with YG's producers, "I've been meeting with YG producers and hanging around in the studio."
Dara then expressed her views on what type of music she would release. "I feel I should go with something different compared to 2NE1's music genre. It's because there are some things I can do as a member of a group versus a solo artist. I think I should present a more cheerful, bright, and happy tune, perhaps," she brainstormed.
She confessed, "There were times when I felt intimated due to my tone of voice." Dara gave an example, "If you look at some of 2NE1's sad songs, I didn't have many parts. Since I had a high tone, the sad song sounded rather happy."
Feeling determined, Dara said, "It's my job to accept the tone I was born with and present it in a unique way that others can enjoy. I am trying to lower my tone a bit but I think my tone has a charm of its own."
She then expressed, "Although I have been a singer all these years, there's not really a song that I can pick out and say it's mine necessarily."
Pointing out an acoustic genre song, Dara said, "I believe 'One Step' OST titled "One Step" is a song that fits my image and voice perfectly."
Closing, Dara sent out a sincere message to her dear fans, "I am very sorry to my fans here in Korea for not being able active in domestic activities. I've had a lot of overseas activities that people would say that I'm an artist that just visits Korea. I'm proud of my fans who have waited a long time but I have a heavy heart. I missed everyone dearly."
