Last year, the annual ranking by the world's biggest brand consulting company Interbrand ranked SM Entertainment in 46th place; also making them the only Korean entertainment agency to make it on the list. The label once again ranked 46th this year and remained the only Korean entertainment agency to make it onto the ranking.

A rep from SM Entertainment shared a comment and said, "With the production system of Culture Technology or CT, SM continues to produce popular global artists. We will work hard to create celebrities and contents that captivate music fans worldwide, and grow even more as a global brand."
Meanwhile, Samsung took #1 overall on '2017 Best Korean Brands' followed by Hyundai, Kia, and Naver.
