During the interview, Kwang Dong Yeon commented about his recent popularity, saying, "I feel great. Above all things, I think this year was a great year because I was able to work with good actors, and we had a good result."
When asked about being in FNC Entertainment, which is more known as a music agency, the actor stated, "I joined the company in 2010 as a singer trainee. They often told me, you could become successful as a singer and an actor. But I didn't have the desire to become a big star. I really like music. I started music because it was fun, but when it became work, I started to feel pressured and stressed. The music I wanted to pursue and what the agency wanted were different, so I hit a slump. During that time, I experienced acting, and it gave me a relief from stress. I felt free. It was very fun."
The interviewer asked what type of music the actor was pursuing. He answered, "I was getting ready as a band. I played the guitar and sang, but I liked blues and rock. But FNC did more trendy music. I was preparing to debut with a team after CNBLUE debuted, but I eventually switched to acting."
Kwak Dong Yeon was also asked about his friendship with AOA. The actor responded, "I am most close with Seolhyun, Jimin, and Mina. We were friends since our trainee days. Sometimes it's strange; they act so pretty (laughter). Recently, they tried to send me a coffee truck to show support but couldn't do it because there were some issues. But I have the support signs they made for me. More than anything, they listen to me when I have worries about work because they've worked longer than me. I am always thankful."
