The Supreme Prosecutors' Office of the Republic of Korea has demanded lengthy sentences for the men who gang-raped a teacher and tried to hide the evidence of their criminal act. 

During the final trial which progressed on September 26, the prosecutors demanded a 25-year sentence for Kim (38), a 22-year sentence for Lee (34), and a 17-year sentence for Park (49). Prosecution reasoned that the severity of the perpetrators' crimes are extreme, and considering that they conspired to gang rape the teacher, a heavy penalty is inevitable. 

Kim received the lengthiest sentence as he is suspected of the sexual assault cases which occurred recently in Daejeon. Park, on the other hand, received a light sentence as he did not actually rape the teacher but attempted to.

The victim did not appear in court, and two doctors and three others, including psychologists and professors stood as witnesses in her place, attesting to the victim's physical and emotion conditions. The witnesses testified that due to the severity of the perpetrators' crimes, the victim is suffering from extreme anxiety and that she will need to receive treatment for more than a year. 

The court's final verdict will be announced on October 13.
