Though she has talked about her escapade many times before, the idol got more personal this time around, explaining how scared and alone she felt.
Chanmi said, "We placed first but I still felt empty. I felt like I achieved something but wondered if this was right for me, and I felt devoid of anything. I thought I'd feel more fulfilled if we placed first but there was nothing like that so I thought, 'This is not the path for me.'"

The idol continued, "I ran away thinking that I must return home. I was so shocked when the manager and Jimin came looking for me that I ran off. But the outside world was scary, too. I went to stay at a sauna and headed to the Han River to cry. I soon ran out of money and had to figure this out so I went back on my own after seven days. I saw the other members on TV during my disappearance and I noticed that their faces were swollen from crying."
It must have been hard on Chanmi to figure out if idol-dom was really the life for her. We can only hope that she is more sure about her path now.
