So how did this surprise, albeit a little unexpected, collaboration come to be? Kim Jang Hoon stated, "While I was tuning in to 'Mystery Music Show Mask King', I saw Kangin's stage. First of all, his tone and his vocal range surprised me, and when he confessed with wet eyes that it was the first time in 12 years since debut that he's completed a song all by himself on stage, it made me tear up. And the song that I was working on happened to be a song about two brothers talking about life, so I thought, I should ask Kangin to do it with me." 

Kangin also expressed gratitude for the collaboration offer, saying, "Apart from being close hyung and dongsaeng, I love Kim Jang Hoon as a sunbae artist, so I was so happy to receive the call from him. And when I heard the song, I just thought, this is my song, and I said I'd do it matter what. I love to sing, and I've wanted to sing so badly all this time. I'm incredibly excited for my first music activity by myself apart from my group."
