Controversy arose as YG Entertainment used Big Bang to sell out WINNER's concert tickets.
WINNER who is holding their first solo concert on March 12 and 13 is criticized for their ticket giveaway event.
Olleh TV has announced that from March 8 to March 10 anyone who purchases 'BIGBANG Live Concert Big Show' will be able to win WINNER's concert tickets. The post reads, "Buy YG performance live content, watch until the event pop-up shows up, press the red button, and enter your phone number to finish purchase." It continued, "Have YG live concert content forever to yourself and also receive 2016 WINNER concert ticket."
The controversy lies where it tries to sell WINNER in a 'buy one get one free' strategy. Such event is assumed to be taking place due to low number of WINNER concert ticket sales. According to the stats on March 9, there were about 1287 tickets left for the show on the 12th, and 1091 tickets for the one on the 13th.
In addition, WINNER's concert tickets have engaged in other giveaway events with coffee and clothing brands as well as on music sites. The tickets are on sale for an affordable price of about $63, but are long away from being completely sold out.
Meanwhile, WINNER's brother group iKON has sold out 13,000 tickets on their first solo concert back in October. However, WINNER is failing to live up to their group name as they are falling behind in sales, and is also gaining criticism for using Big Bang as a marketing strategy.
