A mixed golden retriever puppy who nearly found herself in hot water--literally--ended up finding a loving home to roost in instead!
According to a report by Yonhap, the dog, named Chi Chi, walked for the first time at her new home in Phoenix, Arizona, after losing all four of her legs.
San Fernando-based Animal Rescue Media Education (ARME) revealed that Chi Chi was adopted by the Howells after she was rescued by the Korea Association for Animal Protection (KAAP).
Chi Chi, who is only two years and two months old, was found discarded in a trash bag outside a meat market in the Korean countryside. At the time she was found, her four legs were so tightly bound that her tendons and bones were visible through her flesh. The wounds were so bad that when she was transferred to an animal hospital, all four of her legs had to be amputated and replaced with prosthetic legs.

Richard Howell, Chi Chi's new owner, said, "When it came down to it, the biggest need was that she needed a place to live... I think ultimately as we progressed with her story, we just felt a connection with her. Chi Chi is different. She might actually change the world."
Thanks to the Howells, Chi Chi is back running on her feet once again, showered with love and affection! You can read more about Chi Chi's miraculous story here.
