After a recent airing of 'Finding Sugar Man', on which Younha sang a remake of Kang Sung Yeon's "Late Regret", netizens brought to question whether Younha's voice had changed or if her neck was suffering from a bad condition. In an honest letter to her fans, the singer relayed her thoughts about the recent happening of events.
Regarding her recent musical performance on 'Cinderella', the singer expressed, "It makes sense to say that a singer's voice can change after doing a musical. It's true that because I wanted to engross myself in the role wholeheartedly, my singing habits have experienced a slight change.
But the situation is similar to a golfer who must practice on different fields each match, and therefore in part my fault."
On the health of her voice, the singer also revealed, "For the past two years, my deviated nasal septum has been getting worse. Thankfully, it's something that can be easily fixed through surgery, but currently I don't have the leisure or the time to undergo surgery and relearn my singing methods, so I am not in a situation to have the surgery done yet."
Younha has announced the cancellation of all singing activities in the near future, and has not determined when she will return with her voice. However, she commented, "Rather than beating myself up with worry, I've decided to take courage, and find my singing voice again with time and patience to return to you all with a 5th album."
It seems like it was very hard for her to come to this decision. We wish Younha a safe, quick, and relaxing recovery!
