4minute held the showcase for their 7th mini album 'Act.7' on Monday at Gangnam District's Club Octagon, talking about the various concerns that they were riddled with as they worked with Skrillex.
Sohyun said, "In the beginning, we worried that the song sounded too contrasting and thought the performance [for the song] would be important, so we paid special attention to the song and, when we listened to it a second time around, we thought it was a good song, and I hope everyone will think the same."
Jihyun confessed, "Because EDM music is not typically music that you sing, there were people that thought that it'd be difficult to write the lyrics but we discussed the matter with the composers for three days and we exchanged emails with them while we were in the States."
The girls, who held their newest album showcase at a club much like for their last song "Crazy," seem to have a special place in their hearts for night clubs--or their managers seem to anyway. Jihyun said, "Our managers usually take care of securing a location for us. We do like clubs but we like any kind of place as long as there is a stage."
Jiyoon added, "As Skrillex does a lot of events at clubs and that is the place where EDM music is the most familiar, we thought it appropriate to hold our showcase here," while Sohyun joked, "We don't like clubs that much and it's the first time we came to Octagon."
Jihyun also chimed in, "Unlike our image, we just like hanging out by ourselves."
