Comedian Lee Kyung Shil's husband, who is charged for sexually assaulting the wife of an acquaintance was sentenced to two years in prison by the courts.
The third hearing for Lee Kyung Shil's husband, identified by his surname Choi, was held Thursday at Seoul Western District Court.
Prosecution took into account the fact that the defendant's sexual assault was against the wife of an acquaintance, his acknowledgement of the assault in court and denial of his behavior in the media, and the plaintiff's emotional distress in arriving at Choi's sentence.
Choi himself reportedly stated during the hearing, "My heart is apologetic for raising a societal concern and I relay my apologies to the victim and the victim's family."

Court was adjourned after the judge announced that they will make their final verdict on February 4.
