During an exclusive interview with the magazine, Lee Ki Hong revealed that he "feels at home" being back in Korea despite the hectic schedule. He said, "It feels like I am at home. I was a bit stressed because of the schedule, but that means that a lot of people are looking for me so it's okay."
Then the Hollywood actor revealed his patriotism when asked if being Korean has affected his acting career. He said, "Being Korean is a part of my identity. I identify as Korean and I don't want to hide it. That is why I keep my name as 'Ki hong.' When I am asked these kinds of questions, I'd think why I would have to change my name or anything else when I am Korean. I am proud to be Korean. Both my culture and inheritance. These days, especially, I feel obligated as a Korean actor."
When asked about the time he was picked as the fourth sexiest man in the world by 'People' magazine, Ki Hong Lee humbly answered, "Honestly speaking, I thought it was weird. Not once did I ever think that I was sexy. At first, I didn't understand (the title) and didn't like it. Why would people say that I'm sexy when I'm not? I felt burdened by all the attention that I was receiving. However, after talking about it with my friends, I realized that this was a very important issue. It's a rare occasion when 'People' spotlights and introduces Asians. So me being represented in that ranking was a good influence for not only me, but to other Asian (entertainers) as well."
