Welcome to our fifth and las edition of our 'K-indie Spotlight' series where we introduce various independent artists in Korea each month!
With the help from 'Onstage [K],' a Korean indie music program that introduces the authentic beauty of Korean contemporary music to the world, we hope to be adding diversity and possibly enlightening our readers with the Korean music scene that has not yet been touched on.

Goonam
Four-member indie group Goonam has a unique sound that is a mix of electronica and folk. With their passion for music and providing bright and happy sounds to their listeners, Goonam hopes to meet their fans with positive energy.
Hail
Hail, formed in 2011 by Lee Ki Won and Kim Seok, is known for interpreting universal feelings as well as touching themes and sentiments in their own unique way through the genre they love. They released their first full-length album, "Weltanschauung," last August and have been pursuing various activities since then.
Kim Chang Ki
A psychiatrist and talented folk musician, Kim Chang Ki first appeared in the Korean music scene as a member of The Zoo in 1988. After the band released its 7th album in 1997, he left the band to form another band called The Warehouse with one other member. Upon releasing his first solo album, "The Beauty of Falling," in 2000, Kim Chang Ki put a halt to his musical activities and focused on his career as a psychiatrist. Today, he has finally returned to the music industry once again after 13 years of hiatus with his second solo album.

Comprised of guitarist and vocalist Yoon Joon Hong and drummer Kim Seol, the members of 57 joined hands back in 2014 and released their first EP '57'. In October last year, they've been solidifying their spot in the industry, winning the Grand Prize at the '2015 Band Discovery' as well as making it to the final round of the '2015 Hello Rookie'. Thanks to their talents, they're considered the hottest rising star of the Korean indie scene.
A-FUZZ
A-FUZZ is a four member group comprised of guitarist Jinny Kim, keyboardist Song Seul Ki, bassist Lim Hye Min and drummer Shin Sun Mi. Deeply rooted in jazz and funk, the four combine diverse music genres together to create new fusion sounds. Since releasing the first mini-album, "Fading Lights," in March this year, A-FUZZ has been pursuing diverse activities in the industry, impressing everyone with their wonderful musicality.
Jin Kim
Jin Kim originally dreamed of becoming a guitarist, but the full, mighty sound of the trumpet changed his fate completely. After 9 years of studying in the U.S., he returned to Korea to revitalize the Korean jazz scene, inspiring people to enjoy the magnificent beauty of the genre, and the album, "Jin Kim The Jazz Unit," is the ultimate result.
