4minute's Jiyoon showcased an incredibly powerful stage on the latest episode of 'Unpretty Rapstar 2'!
For the semifinal stage, Jiyoon performed a lively, energetic song titled "Don't Change," featuring BTOB's Ilhoon! The topic of the song was 'Real Me,' and Jiyoon rapped with a ferocity about keeping true to oneself. She spat, "Don't change yourself because of other's gazes. Hiding myself became a habit. I found myself telling lie after lie. Without realizing, I catered to the president and manager. I use empty words to get to what I want. Shut up if you don't know," perhaps implying that staying true to yourself is hard when you are an idol under the control of a label. But, her ultimate message was to not lose sight of who you are.
After her performance, Jiyoon relayed, "It felt great performing while seeing my family [in the audience]. I think I showed the real Jeon Jiyoon."
