Previously, it was reported that 4minute's Jiyoon would be joining the second season of 'Unpretty Rapstar' following its first elimination.

However, hearing this news, the reality program's side stepped up to deny the veracity of this on August 1: "There has been no discussion over 4minute Jiyoon's joining.  It is true that we met up with many different rappers, but we never decided to insert Jiyoon into the middle [of the season].  Likewise, the content claiming that amongst the eleven female rappers confirmed in casting, one will be eliminated in advance with Jiyoon coming in [as a replacement] is groundless.  It is impossible to even know yet whether one person will be eliminated from the mission that will be live broadcasted this afternoon."
