SY convinces YS that she must live and be strong for the sake of her dead father. That's the only way she will be able to forge on with her life and for her father to leave this world peacefully. SY tells YS that's what he did for the person he loved, namely Myung Hee (MH), though he didn't mention her name specifically. Now, YS takes the place of where MH was in SY's heart.
Well, it's been 120 years...about time the dude moved on. SY brings YS under his wing, telling her that he has her slave papers and that he "belongs to her." I don't know about you but I cringed a little at this part. It was cute...I guess.
My life is so hard; I'm in a love triangle with a sexy, ageless vampire and an equally sexy crown prince.
Meanwhile, SY anxiously awaits Crown Prince Lee Yoon (CPY)'s response to come join forces with him in his fight against Gwi. As CPY ponders whether he should work with SY, he learns more of the king's plans to bring down Gwi. The king claims that the new palace that he's ordered to be built will be hunting ground; all they have left to do is bring in the hunters. Then the king chides CPY to forget about working with SY since he can't be completely trusted. As much as I'm rooting for SY to defeat Gwi, he doesn't seem to be getting any closer to solving the mystery behind Crown Prince Junghyun's diary (well, he's inching towards figuring it out...very, very slowly). So now I'm on team grandpa king. Go grandpa king!
When strangers tell me their life stories...this is the expression I wear.
Gwi orders a matrimony between CPY and Hye Ryeong (HR), with the goal of keeping a close eye on CPY. But HR seems to have her own agenda: she's only marrying the crown prince because of her greed for power. The daughter has visions to sit in a position that is higher than that of her father's (Prime Minister Choi Chul Joong), and the easiest way to earn that position is to marry CPY.
Whoever said no...well, I'm pretty sure no one said no.
SY learns of a man who had close ties with Seo Jeong Do and seeks him out. The man is one of the 'hunters' that the king tasked CPY to find. SY hopes to find out something he may not know about Gwi from the hunter; however, upon learning SY's identity, the hunter loses his sh!t and attacks the vampire, leaving him with a gun wound to the shoulder. As soon as SY saw the hunter pull out that bad boy, he should have teleported his a$$ outta there. Instead, the vampire leaps into the sky, right in front of the hunter, giving aimer a clear shot of his back. Yeah...that was a real smart move there (not).
Forceful grabbing of the wrist = HELLA RUDE/NOT ROMANTIC
CPY and SY finally confront one another, and SY accuses CPY of not having any balls lacking the will to face Gwi. The crown prince fires back at the vampire, demanding to know why he killed YS's father (her real father Seo Jeong Do). Little does CPY know that it was actually Gwi that murdered YS's father in cold blood. As they continue their heated argument, SY gets so wroth that he grabs CPY by the throat and lifts him into the air.
Promise me, you'll never let go.
Guess who walks in on this scene? ...YS!! How did this bumbling klutz even find her way about in the forest? I think for the next episode YS will definitely learn of SY's true vampiric identity. The real question is, will she stay with him still? I say yes. What about you guys?
