Clara and Polaris Entertainment will be meeting for a mediation over the actress's lawsuit to nullify her contract with the agency! The two sides attended the hearing at the Seoul Central District Court on August 26 where they said that they would try to find something to agree on regarding the contract.
Clara's side stated, "The documents we submitted this time include the specific contract violations by Polaris. Although clauses, including the confidentiality clause, are clearly stated in the submitted documents, the defendant demanded to know which clauses were violated. They continually destroyed the confidential relationship of our contractual relationship, which is why we sued.
"Clara's contracts in Japan and China were valid, but Polaris destroyed or downsized them. Polaris replaced the manager on site without consent, which was also a violation of our trust relationship. It is not important to figure out through this lawsuit whether the contract Clara had with Polaris was exclusive or agency, but whether the plaintiff or defendant was the one to violate the contract. The defendant replaced the manager, and it is important as to whether they had grounds for that. It is not something that is contractually possible."

Regarding the documents they submitted this time, Clara's side stated, "We submitted the entire conversations between Clara and Chairman Lee. The threat Clara received from Chairman Lee is in the documents and made to stand out."
The justice department stated, "If Chairman Lee had threatened Clara, it is important to have a recorded tape between the two of them regarding the continual breach of their contractual relationship."
Polaris's side stated that just because Chairman Lee was indicted did not mean that he had indeed threatened Clara. The justice department responded that the investigator's judgment of the situation would have to come before the justice department's decision instead of having the justice department make a judgment based on documents that were lacking; this way, they could make a decision regarding a reason for termination of the contract.
Polaris spoke up, "If you give us time, we will talk with Clara over a settlement," and Clara's side stated, "They conversed with Clara up to last week. We will arbitrate on the civil case mediation date. Our talks to reach an agreement with Polaris are going better than they did at first."
The date was set to be September 21! You think they might be able to reach an agreement?
