12 past K-Pop summer songs to chase away the heat

1. Cool - Woman on the Beach

We'll start with one that's totally from the past. 1997 baby! They're not kidding when they're singing "to the sea!" with snorkeling equipment on.

2. DJ DOC - Run to You

Another oldie, but a total goodie. Although their "Summer Story" was definitely for the summer, one can't deny the urge to jump up and down when "Run to You" comes on. Supposedly when it was first released, it was the only song playing at night clubs. Can't blame 'em!

3. ZE:A - Watch Out!!

Happy smiles, pastel colors, anchors and strips... The perfect k-pop summer track for a shining k-pop boy idol group.

4. f(x) - Hot Summer

The song's title has the word "summer" in it. Expect all the bright colors, hot trends, and bold sounds you can get from summer in this f(x) video.

5. 2PM - HANDS UP

After 8 months hiatus, 2PM made their comeback the summer of 2011 with this one. It's one of those songs on my iPod that'll have me and my friends literally put our hands up yelling "put yo hands up!"

6. SISTAR - Loving U

Here is my prediction for this song: it will continue to be a relevant summer song years and years from now.

7. BoA - Atlantis Princess

A K-Pop oldie that will never get old!

8. Jessica & Park Myung Soo - Cold Noodles (Naengmyeon)

This catchy tune is as fresh as ever, singing about the popular korean dish, Naengmyeon, which is compared to the feelings of love.

9. Turtles - Airplane

Ah the good nostalgic memories of k-pop as a young 'un. This song makes me smile every time (even now as I listen to this). Its cheerful melody and beat is perfect for the summer. Enjoy it guys!

10. Mighty Mouth feat. Soya - La La La

This doesn't need any description, just click play and wait for it.

11. SM TOWN - Red Sun

Found this precious jewel and oh my goodness just look how young and cute everyone was. Makes me want to gather all my family and friends and shoot my own "SARAH TOWN" summer song... heh.

12. Big Bang - Sunset Glow

Meant for the summer or not, there's a beach and the members of Big Bang are enjoying it with the public. If this doesn't evoke the feeling of summer, I don't know what does.
