On July 13, the dead body of a baby was found in the flowerbeds of a Suseodong apartment. According to the press, the infant's body had been wrapped in a towel and left in the flowerbeds behind the apartment. A passerby noticed the bundle and immediately notified the police.
A filed complaint stated, "Although the passerby initially mistook the body for a doll, they saw the umbilical cord still attached. The towel was covering half of the baby's face, and the towel itself was soaked with blood."

The placenta was found to still be around the baby, which was discovered to be a girl infant who weighed 3 kilograms (~6.6 pounds).
The police are currently reviewing CCTV of the nearby quadrants in an attempt to find the responsible party that immediately dumped the baby after giving birth to it . "As soon as the results of the autopsy come out, we will launch a full-fledged investigation," they said.
