During his interview, Eric Nam said that he is a close friend of ZE:A's Siwan despite the fact that they've only known each other for two years. In contrast to his bright and energetic personality on camera, Eric Nam revealed that he had once suffered from depression during his transitional period after leaving the United States and adjusting to life in Korea. 

Eric Nam stated that he had no plans on moving to Korea but that all changed when he watched MBC's 'Birth Of A Great Star.' He also revealed that he had once auditioned for SM Entertainment when he was still in the States. He said, "By chance, I auditioned for SM when I was in America. They asked me to dance when I wasn't great at it so I declined by saying, 'I can't dance.' I don't think I knew much about being an idol singer back then."

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that Eric Nam is in talks of appearing in a Hollywood movie.
