'W Korea' released an additional picture of 2NE1's CL looking stunning in a magnificent hanbok as well as portions of her interview with the magazine for its April issue.
It was revealed that CL personally requested the hanbok theme for this shoot, explaining, "Japanese and Chinese culture is mostly well known, but I believe the knowledge regarding Korea is a bit on the lacking side. Before my full-scale promotions in America, I wanted to make sure to leave behind a cool hanbok photo shoot."
In relation to why she chose to stick as closely to tradition as possible rather than going for a fusion look, CL stated, "There is no choice but for it to look very different from the image of a graceful actress in a hanbok; if anything, because of that, I wanted to try the traditional costume rather than styling myself safely in a way that suits me." Well, it turns out she can rock the hanbok look just as well as any of her normal sassy looks!

In relation to advancing into America, the talented artist stated, "At the time, there was a good offer that came in, and I accepted it on the thought that it could be a novel challenge. Truthfully, I only thought that it would be fun without worrying much about it at first. However, the more I prepared for it, the more I wondered if I had caused something big to happen. It feels like I am dashing into a new market that is different from what I've experienced so far."
Good luck, CL! Can't wait to see you in the American market.
