It seems as though iKON's debut and Big Bang's comeback are expected to finally happen sometime in Spring.
On January 27, YG Entertainment's CEO Yang Hyun Suk disclosed to OSEN, "As I've promised to the fans, this year Big Bang and iKON are the first in line to come back and debut. Both teams are in their last stages of wrapping up their album, so we will be releasing the good news to everyone soon."

Yang Hyun Suk added that although the response of Jinusean after their appearance on 'Infinity Challenge's 'Saturday Saturday's Singer' was positive and there were talks of a potential Jinusean comeback, nothing has been decided yet. Yang Hyun Suk said, "Right now, Big Bang and iKON are the priorities."
Previously, Big Bang members G-Dragon and Taeyang have hinted at their comeback multiple times, stating that the next comeback will be with all five members. G-Dragon even said during their recent concert in Japan, "I promise we'll make a comeback with a good album. I take responsibility as a leader when I say this."
Meanwhile, iKON also has been making frequent appearances at Big Bang's concert in Japan as the opening act.
