Singer and entertainer
Kim Jong Kook has revealed that
Turbo's previously announced
best-of album was made and released without any consent from the members or their company and holds no affiliation with them.
On January 22, the singer personally wrote on his fan cafe, "These days, although it's a little straining, I'm spending my days with a grateful and blissful heart. I was happy to be with Kim Jung Nam on 'Infinity Challenge- Saturday Saturday's Singer' and as he was receiving much love [through his appearance], I thought a lot about Mikey hyung as well. We were even invited as guest artists on SBS 'Inkigayo' for their 800th episode as the group who won first place on their first airing. We are really delighted to be performing 'December' on stage [again]."

He continued, mentioning the album that recently released, "For this album, neither Jung Nam, Mikey, nor I have any affiliation with its release. Just like before, the album was produced without any consent from us or the company as it's just simply a remastering of the original tracks. Turbo, a group from the past, is being newly found with the help of fond memories that viewers have [of us]. And we are being misunderstood by others because of those who are using this opportunity for their own gains. I am worried that this will hurt those who are innocently supporting us."
Meanwhile, Kim Jong Kook will perform their hit song, "December", once again with fellow Turbo member, Mikey, at SBS 'Inkigayo's 800th episode, airing on January 25.
