On December 23, Korean media outlets quoted multiple entertainment industry representatives saying, "Enes Kaya is no longer in Korea. He went to Turkey two weeks ago." They continued, "He hasn't revealed when he will be coming back, but we know that he is no longer around and has quietly left for Turkey."
They further revealed, "He owns a business in Korea and he has to come back sometime [for that business]," indicating that this is likely a temporary leave.
Some are shocked by this news, as Enes Kaya previously denied rumors that he was going to leave Korea. He had stated, "My family and I will reside in [Korea] and do our best to wisely resolve the situation; not even for a moment have I thought about leaving the country alone to evade this issue." He had also stated, "From now on I will take legal action and I will actively respond to these defaming false rumors. I ask that you please refrain from making rash assumptions and misunderstanding the situation."
While some argue that Enes Kaya is going back on his words, it's possible that Enes Kaya may have taken his family out of the country to protect them from the media or public ridicule.
