According to Star News on the 11th, the Seoul District Public Prosecutors' Office indicted Bumkey on charges of illegal drug dealing towards the end of October. During the investigation for the drug case in early October, Bumkey was caught giving a psychotropic drug to an acquaintance and called him in for questioning. An arrest warrant was issued because the court believed there could be a possibility of a destruction of evidence and getaway, and they took him into custody for questioning. However, Bumkey denied the allegation that he was involved and claimed his innocence.
A source close to Bumkey told Star News, "Among the caught drug offenders, there are several of Bumkey's acquaintances including a music director and doctor... The exchange of money between [Bumkey] and one of them was simply due to a repayment of debt. It wasn't to buy or sell drugs... Bumkey has nothing to do with the recent drug case, and is only receiving suspicion simply because of the fact that they he knows and spent time with them.. Although he was suspected of drug use, as far as I know, the test of his hair and urine came out negative."
His agency also revealed that they're currently organizing an official statement on the matter.
