During the press conference, Donghae was asked if he felt burdened as an idol playing the role of a high school student who is very different from his real life personality. Donghae's character in the movie impregnates his girlfriend, curses quite frequently, and gets involved in physical fights with others.

The 29-year-old idol revealed, "I think I did curse a lot. Honestly, there wasn't much profanity written in the script. But I told the director that he shouldn't hold back just because I'm an idol. If in the back of my mind, I knew that I was eliminating certain things in acting [because I'm an idol], I feel like I would lose the true raw emotions and things that I really want to portray."
Donghae also expressed his passion for acting as he revealed that he only thought about his role in the movie and disregarded his current status as an idol. He said, "I didn't think about anything like that and I just thought about the character that I had to play. I thought about how I would feel if I was that class president in the movie. And now that I think about it, it made me act more forceful and rough."
He continued, "If I lost everything after I've had everything, from my friends to even my girlfriend, then I think nothing would be able to stop me. That kind of mentality was translated through my acting."
Meanwhile, the movie 'Ready, Action Youth,' featuring Donghae, 4Minute's Jihyun, and F.T. Island's Seunghyun, will be premiering on November 13.
