After School's Nana has received a bit of heat for her actions on 'Roommate' and her other variety appearances on 'Style Log', as some viewers interpreted her personality to be a bit rude and disrespectful. However, Nana claimed that she was just trying to be friendly.

"I was trying to be natural and be friendlier, but from a certain moment, it felt wrong," she said. "Especially when I was doing 'Style Log', since the model oppas were very quiet and introverted, I tried to liven up the atmosphere. But some people weren't able to get used to that. Instead of thinking, 'she's trying hard', they think, 'why is she doing that?'."

"I'm honestly trying to show my real natural side, but I think that might be tough to swallow for some people," she continued. "I normally didn't pay attention to Internet comments and just let bad comments go in one ear and out the other, but I can't do that anymore. If people didn't previously know about my personality and my speaking voice, they do now since I started to go on varieties."

"It might just be me overreacting, but I now think really hard about everything I say," she said to an attentive Hong Soo Hyun. "I'm a person, so it's a bit scary."
