SEE ALSO: MC Mong denies all reports of comeback rumors
A DreamT Entertainment rep told Xports News on the 16th, "Wellmade Yedang has recently signed MC Mong... Girl's Day's agency DreamT Entertainment will be in charge of MC Mong's management. [MC Mong] is currently in negotiations for contract with DreamT... We will actively support MC Mong's return."
If you remember, Wellmade StarM had bought out DreamT Entertainment towards the end of last year as well as Yedang to form Wellmade Yedang that controls 100% of the stocks of DreamT. Since MC Mong has signed with Wellmade Yedang, it seems DreamT will be handling his promotions.
It's said this was made possible due to Wellmade Yedang's CEO Go Jae Hyung's close ties with MC Mong as a former MBC PD of 'Music Core'. He revealed that he wanted to help the rapper return to the music scene after his long hiatus following his military service evasion controversy back a few years ago.
Another rep also added, "As much as he's had to suffer emotionally, we will do our best so that his return is secure and comfortable for him as much as possible."
UPDATE --- DreamT Entertainment revealed their plans for MC Mong to make a comeback in the latter-half of this year, stating, "At the earliest, MC Mong will release his album in the latter-half of this year. We will show our active support so that he can make a comeback... For MC Mong and the fans who have been waiting for his music, we will actively support MC Mong so that he can greet fans with good music in the latter-half of this year. We ask for the fans' interest and love so that MC Mong can make a successful return to the entertainment scene."
