At the press conference for 'Doctor Stranger' on April 29, PD Jin Hyuk revealed why he chose to cast SISTAR's Bora and Kang So Ra in the drama.
Bora, who'll be making her acting debut in 'Doctor Stranger', is playing a hardworking girl from North Korea named Lee Chan Lee trying her best to bring her mother down south. The PD shared that he was somewhat biased when he cast Bora, saying, "To be honest, I had a selfish motive when I cast SISTAR's Bora. I'm personally a huge fan of SISTAR," making everyone laugh.
As for Kang So Ra, he commented, "I wanted to work with Kang So Ra as soon I saw her dancing at the acting awards last year. She's an actress with both boyish and feminine qualities. After meeting with her, I contacted her after two days to say I wanted to work with her, and I'm very thankful she accepted right away."
The first episode airs on May 5 KST!
