Sadly, duo groups are not as prevalent in K-Pop, but they are growing with the help of sub-units and popular collaborations. People love these duos because they can focus on just two people who work admirably well together in their partnership. While showing off an intimate relationship almost like a couple or a pair of best friends, these duos use both members' unique traits and skills to an advantage.
Which duos are especially eye-catching with their amazing chemistry and teamwork?
GD & T.O.P
Obviously, it would have been difficult for G-Dragon to pick just one fellow Big Bang member for the first duo, but he eventually went with T.O.P for sub-unit GD&T.O.P! While G-Dragon gives off the more easy-going, cute charm that makes people smile like idiots, T.O.P provides the hot charisma with the intense gaze that could melt your heart. Additionally, G-Dragon's higher-pitched voice matches well with T.O.P's unbelievably deep one. They basically make you unable to choose between the two of them while flaunting their tight bromance. Who would be able to resist this deadly combo of cute and hot?
Trouble Maker
B2ST's Hyunseung and 4minute's HyunA proved to be another sexy duo that people could not keep their eyes off! What is particularly striking and unique about this partnership is that there is an immensely sexual chemistry between the two that make people watch their performances in awe and fascination. The two are so convincing in their "couple" act that people are constantly wondering and even positive that the two are secretly a hot celebrity item. Her charismatic rapping and his soothing voice mesh together well for any song they tackle.
SISTAR19
This SISTAR sub-unit consists of the powerful vocalist Hyorin and the tough rapper Bora. These two are both curvy, sexy ladies who know how to make fans' hearts stop with their awesome stage presence and charming personas. They also work together very beautifully. Hyorin's husky voice lends emotion and strength to the song while Bora's charismatic voice gives the song a bit of an attitude.
INFINITE H
INFINITE's talented rappers Hoya and Dongwoo promoted "Special Girl" together as a hip hop sub-unit! Although both are charismatic men, Hoya definitely has the sharper features, intense gaze, and quiet masculinity that draws attention. However, Dongwoo provides the adorable and fun atmosphere with his huge smile and easygoing, sweet personality that make your heart flutter. The two of them offset each other in this way, but rather than butting heads, these opposites work together so well on stage with their great dance moves and manly rapping voices. Fans are undoubtedly awaiting a comeback from this duo!
Davichi
This female duo group is popular for being a vocal power house as both Kang Min Kyung and Haeri have amazing, strong vocals that portray emotions in a way that is moving and relatable for their listeners. They harmonize beautifully and can match each other, showing great teamwork and camaraderie. If one member were missing, the group's influence and efficacy would be essentially halved (although they would undoubtedly do well as solos, too)!
TVXQ
Yunho and Changmin adjusted from being a five member group to a duo to continue on with their successful singing career. As both of them are good-looking, talented men, they combined efforts to double the power in making girls swoon at their handsome features and soothing voices. Even in the "Something" MV below, the boys begin singing by leaning against each other and this physical pose portrays the figurative way in which they rely on each other--the beauty of the duo partnership.
