IU revealed what she called a "jinx" in her career on SBS' radio program 'Kim Chang Ryul's Old School'.
DJ Kim Chang Ryul said, "Your hit songs 'A Good Day', 'You & I', and 'The Red Shoes' are all three words (characters in Korean) long, but was that intentional?"

To everyone's interest and amusement, IU said, "Three words, this is considered a jinx among our staff members. Until now, three words have done well, so we thought to continue that way. When it becomes time to challenge it or venture out, I said we should go for four words, but it's not the right moment yet."
Netizens who listened to the broadcast said, "After hearing about it, it does seem true," "Hope you break the jinx someday," "IU is cute as always," and, "But 'Boo' was a hit, too."
