?Broaching on the subject of relationships is a touchy undertaking. To be in a committed relationship implies that you have to be just as keen to your own needs and wants as you are to your partner's.

The two of you become attuned to each other's characteristics, so much so that you can confidently say you know him or her as well as you know yourself. And in a world with a population of roughly seven billion people, that's quite comforting.  ?

That being the case, I understand why people so readily invest their emotions and place such weighty trust in someone else. It's an incredible risk, but I sense people rarely take precautionary measures.

Perhaps the extent to how attracted you are to someone can be that strong. I suppose these are the situations where the phrase, "falling head over heels" would be most applicable, no?

People crave relationships - it's natural. And frankly, basic human instincts don't suddenly bend over backwards when it comes to celebrities. Think about it: celebrities are people (like us) who are simply well known for... well, their well-knownness.

Though I know I'm going to get considerable judgement, and though I'm not a certified relationship counselor by any means, I'd like to take a stab at some of the couples who are gracing the forefront of celebrity life in Korea.

The Dating Stage - I like you; date me

After a few stressful accounts of pulling-and-tugging, flirting, playing hard-to-get, or whatever it is that you do, you finally did it! You guys are now an item, congratulations!

This is embarrassing and unfortunate, but personally, I've never dated anyone. But I promise I'm neither a misanthropic recluse who stays home all day with the curtains shut, nor do I have a hunchback. But I digress.

Since I haven't had this experience before, I'll base it off of some of the episodes I see when I'm with my friends. At least from what some of the couples around me show, they might as well be skipping along lush, rolling meadows while holding hands and gazing into each other's eyes. I know, it's gross.

But when it comes down to it, the dating period determines what type of direction your relationship will take. It's during this blissful time where you learn most of what there is to learn about your partner, and you either get really turned off or you fall more in love with him or her than
you initially thought you would.

On a side note, I'm sure you've all heard that Tony An of H.O.T. fame and Hyeri of Girl's Day are an item. Oh, right - and there's a casual age gap of 16 years between them.

Personally, I don't think the age gap poses too much of a problem. I mean, there are plenty of happy couples out there who make it work despite the difference. Plus, I'm convinced that I'll be marrying So Ji Sub sometime in the near future so I really can't be too judgmental, lest I hurt his feelings.

The only thing that bugs me is that Hyeri is so young. Maybe if she were a little older, it'd be less burdensome to bear, but as of right now, I can't help thinking how her parents must feel about this cradle robbery.?

The Mr. and Mrs. - I do

This is the real deal. You've tied the knot and you've vowed to love your partner till death do you part. You'll go through the honeymoon stage and have your fair share of nagging each other. But if you can learn to love your partner's flaws and keep your promise to remain faithful to him or her, you'll be golden.

Seeing as to how I'm not yet married, I'm going to go off of my parents' marriage. My mom and dad are just about as different as it gets. While my mom expresses her emotions more openly and often makes a bigger deal out of things than they're worth, my dad is more reserved and practical. My mom is overly excitable while my dad is endlessly patient. You get the picture, don't you?

But I think part of the reason why their marriage holds up so well is because they are so different. They complement each other's merits and balance out each other's shortcomings. Plus, it helps to have such a well-behaved daughter like myself, I suppose. (Kidding).

So looking at some of the other married celebrities on the roster - think Jang Dong Gun & Go So YoungYeon Jung Woon & Han Ga InHaHa & Byul - I guess marriage comes down to learning from each other and tackling whatever may come your way as a team.

The prospective Mr. and Mrs. - I (almost) do

The flurry of excitement before the wedding is nearly tangible. And in the few weeks leading up to their big day, I'd be willing to bet that these celebrities are sporting a radiant glow that can't be achieved by any amount of makeup.

To be honest, I really don't know how I would feel in the moments leading up to my wedding. I've considered the normal emotions, namely excitement, anxiety, bliss, and hysteria. But I think it'd be foolish to think you can predict how you'll feel on what is arguably one of the most important days of anyone's life.

Parenting - You're doing it right

It's always exciting when good-looking celebrities marry other good-looking celebrities and spawn miniature, good-looking children.

Growing up, I was a big problem child for my parents. For the better part of my toddlerhood, I was under the nonsensical impression that I could grow up to be a mermaid. Then when I entered childhood, I always got an absurd satisfaction from cutting my brother's hair and my dog's hair with my favorite pair of scissors. I couldn't be stopped. I was a weird kid; that, I can't argue with.

So here's wishing all the celebrity parents out there a lot of patience and thick-skin to make it through their kid's experimental and angsty years. Because those are always so fun.

The break-up - Deuces, ex

Now this, I'm pretty comfortable talking about. How? Well, I watch too many romantic movies than I'd be willing to admit to and
I listen to so many Korean ballads, which are roughly 98% about breaking-up with your significant other.

But with all due seriousness, break-ups must suck. Imagine knowing someone for a lengthy period of time - 6 years in the case of Simon D and Lady Jane - and just like that, it all ends. Of course it usually ends with "let's be friends" or another interpretation of the same sort, but can you really be just friends? And if you think you can, would it be easy?

Then there's bound to be the question of "who broke up with who," amongst your boyfriends or girlfriends, and we all know how that's going to play out.

The questionable couple that needs to set the record straight - like, what are you even doing?

You know how sometimes, you just have these gut feelings that two of your friends are together, but they're keeping their mouths shut about it? And all you really want to do is slap them in the face?

I have plenty of those. And frankly, I wouldn't bet against that being the case in situations like that of IU & Eunhyuk's and Onew & Jung Ah's. Though both pairs have been spotted together a couple of times, in the end - until someone confirms the truth - it's all just rampant speculation.

These suspicious couples leave much to the imagination, and for those of us who are more curious than others, it's a struggle.

But such is the fate of being an unswerving fan - you have to respect your celebrity biases and the decisions they make along the way.

Do you have any comical, cringe-worthy, or sappy relationship stories? Or perhaps you have a celebrity bias you wouldn't mind getting married to?
