Actor Kang Dong Won has been cast in the movie 'Archipelago' alongside fellow actor Ha Jung Woo.

This will mark Kang Dong Won's first project following his discharge from the army late last month, and considering his track record of movie hits, 'Archipelago'�is surely on its way to becoming another box office hit with the combined power of Ha Jung Woo.

Set in the late Chosun era as its time period, Kang Dong Won will be playing the rebellious 'Jo Yoon', a talented martial artist born under an extremely wealthy and influential father who is not acknowledged for any of his skills due to being the son of his father's concubine.

On the contrary, Ha Jung Woo will be playing the role of a butcher-turned-Robin Hood to illustrate the lives of the oppressed on the archipelago.

The movie will be directed by Yoon Jong Bin, most known for his mega-hit hit earlier this year with 'Nameless Gangster'. He's worked with Ha Jung Woo since his debut as a director, and now that he's secured Kang Dong Won in his final cast line-up, preparations for crank-in have begun.

The movie will begin filming early next year.
