Psy recently made an appearance on NBC's 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' and his presence has helped in bringing the highest rating for the show.  This was the first time that that show received a projected 8 percent viewer share since the show's first airing in 2003. The show scored a total of 3.0 in households which was it's highest in that particular metric since 2006.

On this day, the guests included Britney Spears along with Simon Cowell and as they spoke about the 'Gangnam Style' craze, Psy made a surprise appearance.  Psy taught Britney and Ellen how to do the horse riding dance and also tried to convince Simon to participate as well and received a great response from the crowd.

Hollywood Reporter stated on September 12th KST that, "That projects Ellen as taking an 8 percent share of the viewing audience, which would be her best in that measure since the show went on the air in 2003."

A person in the American media stated, "The Ellen Show is very popular among women.  As Psy's appearance on the show has brought it its highest rating, Psy's own popularity will just continue to soar."

American netizens who saw the show commented, "I think Britney has fallen in love with Psy's horse dance", "I really enjoyed it", and "I laugh even when I just see Psy."

Additonally, Psy's segment which was uploaded to Ellen's official YouTube channel has already garnered nearly 5 million views in just one day.
