Some of today's top musicians as well as Hallyu celebrities will be participating in an upcoming large-scale donation event.
The very first '2012 K-BOX ? IN SEOUL' hosted by K-BOX's 'CHO' Corporation (CEO Cho Jung Soon) will be held at the Namsan Banyan Tree Club & Spa in Seoul September 15th at 7:30PM.
There will be a number of celebrities present at the 3-hour event, including actor Lee Bum Soo, musical director Lee Dong Jun, Choo So Young, Hwang Jung Eum, So Yoo Jin, Lee Yoon Ji, BoA's pianist brother Kwon Soon Wook, SECRET, Lee Chun Hee, Girl's Day, and Druken Tiger, along with Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin, as well as a number of Chinese & Japanese public figures. This event is further drawing interest, as it Korea's first cultural charity event where participants will also be able to admire the works of famous artists such as Kim Man Duk.
There will be a number of things distributed to the event participants, including A VIP 'KBOX' worth 140,000 KRW (~124 USD), a private cultural exchange voucher, Korean cuisine recipes, and more.
CEO Cho Jung Soon remarked, "The Hallyu gift box 'KBOX' completely sold out in August and September, and it drew much attention during Jung Jun Ho & Cha Seung Won's Tokyo fan meeting. Using this as a stepping stone, we are honored to opened such a meaningful event at Korea's greatest resort, the Banyan Tree Club. We believe that this will be another opportunity for us to spread more 'Koreanism' awareness."
The event will also auction off paintings, ceramics, and the celebrities' beloved items, and all the profits from the event will be donated towards helping the victims of the Bolaven typhoon, as well to restoring the Kesennuma region on Japan.
Cable channel FNC TV will be supervising this event, while other broadcast stations such as MBC Economy, and China's Shanghai TV will be broadcasting related events, while Japanese media outlets Yomiuri, and Asahi will be reporting the list of donations.
