Rookie girl group Hello Venus burst onto the K-Pop scene this year with their unique 'Venus of the 21st Generation' concept, and the group's leader Yoo Ara has recently been confirmed to feature in MBC's new sitcom, 'What Is Mom'!

'What Is Mom' is a new sitcom scheduled to begin broadcasting on October 8th, and it tells the story of the people searching to find a piece of happiness meant for them, and 'mom' Na Moon Hee who cheers on these people with everything she has. Viewers will laugh, cry, and earn some new hope from watching this new series.

In the script, Yoo Ara will be playing the role of a part-time waitress who works at Na Moon Hee's restaurant. Different from her innocent appearance, Yoo Ara plays a charming character who says everything she wants and needs to say to her boss, and often shows her slightly '4D' personality.

Yoo Ara remarked, "I am so honored and glad to have an opportunity to feature in a sitcom, just 4 months after debuting with Hello Venus. I will thoroughly prepare for this role so that I will not inconvenience my seniors around me. I would also like to show a good side of myself to the viewers as well."

Meanwhile, 'What Is Mom' also features INFINITE's L, Kim Se Ron, Kim Byung Man, and more, drawing much attention ahead of it's pilot episode.
