Song Hye Gyo and Jo In Sung have been cast as co-stars for writer Noh Hee Kyung's new project, titled 'That Winter, The Wind Blows'.
Producer Kim Tae Gyu hopes to begin broadcasting the new drama in the first half of next year, and both Song Hye Kyo and Jo In Sung are in the final stages of fine-tuning the details of their appearance. Staff members reported, "The two stars and the production company are optimistically exchanging their ideas and opinions, and because the drama is in it's finalizing stages, we should be able to see the two top stars working together."
The two actors had received offers from Noh Hee Kyung early on, but they took some time to carefully give the project some thought, as the drama would mark both of their return to the small screen after a long period of a break. In the process, actor Won Bin and actress Kim Tae Hee had come up as possible candidates, but in the end, the production staff went with the two stars they had in mind from the start.
If and when the decision is confirmed, the drama will be Song Hye Gyo's first project since her appearance in Noh Hee Kyung's drama 'The World They Live In' in 2008. Likewise, this will be Jo In Sung's first small screen comeback after his role in 'Spring Day', which he took on just before enlisting in military service back in 2005.
Regarding the issue, both actors' companies confirmed that their stars had received proposals for the roles long ago and that although things are looking good, there is still some fine tuning that must be done.
Meanwhile, 'That Winter, the Wind Blows' will be a remake of the Japanese drama 'Love isn't Necessary, Summer', which has been remade once before into a film titled 'I Don't Need Love' starring Moon Geun Young and Kim Joo Hyuk.
