Fans are eagerly awaiting for top star Won Bin (35) to make his return to the small-screen.
There were rumors that the actor was optimistically reviewing a new project written by Noh Hee Kyung and directed by Kim Kyu Tae, and that there was a high possibility for the actor to make his small-screen comeback. However, according to an industry insider, Won Bin has ultimately decided that he would not be returning with the aforementioned project.
After filming his 2010 hit film 'Man From Nowhere', Won Bin has looked through numerous drama scripts for the past two years. When news of his possible return had spread, fans and industry insiders alike expressed their interest, as it would mark his first small-screen drama in 13 years since filming 'Autumn Story' in 2000.
Furthermore, this new drama is written by Noh Hee Kyung who is known as the 'Alchemist of Language', and had Won Bin accepted, it would have been the ultimate collaboration between a hit writer and one of Hallyu's top celebrities.
A broadcast representative carefully tried to explain the reasons why Won Bin turned the role down saying, "I don't know the details, but he was concerned that both the main male and female characters in the script carried an equal amount of weight in the drama, and it would be difficult to fine tune that balance."
Meanwhile, writer Noh Hee Kyung has also written 'The Most Beautiful Goodbye', 'Lies', 'Did We Really Love', 'More Beautiful Than A Flower', 'Padam Padam', and more.
