Singer Wheesung has been revealed to have undergone surgery for his back problems while serving out his military term.

A representative of Wheesung's agency revealed, "Wheesung has gotten a surgery for herniated disc on July 11th at a hospital in Gangnam. The surgery went well and he is currently resting at the recovery room."

They also added, "Wheesung has been suffering from a bad shoulder and disc problems even before he enlisted in the army, but with pain getting worse, he had to take a temporary leave and to go under surgery."

A representative of the hospital told the press, "The doctor said that Wheesung might not be able to finish his military term and recommended his discharge from the military. However, Wheesung is determined to finish his military service and said that he will be returning as soon as he has recovered."
