Singer�Verbal Jint revealed that his hit track "You Deserve Better" was inspired by a story about spousal abuse.

Verbal Jint, who is currently promoting his new album '10 Years of Misunderstandings', appeared on July 27th's airing of tvN's 'Baek Ji Yeon's People Inside' where he revealed that he was inspired to write "You Deserve Better" after seeing a story about a woman who was beat by her husband on television.

He said that as he watched the story of the woman who became a victim of domestic violence, the lyrics "You're too pretty to be treated like that" came to mind. The rapper continued that he wanted to reveal every single hidden story and that the inspiration for music begins with observing the lives of everyday people.

Verbal Jint's interview was aired on 'Baek Ji Yeon's People Inside' on July 27th at 7PM.
